Birthday gift for GM

The Leopards continued the home series against Sibir Novosibirsk. Somehow the weather in Sochi got colder when it was obvious that Sibir is flying to our city.

Daniil Miromanov replaced Rafael Batyrshin in the lineup. Goalie Alexei Krasikov returned to the net in a game against his former team.

Teams played accurately in the first minutes of the play. At the 16^th minute Sergei Shmelyov opened the scoreboard with a beauty wrister. He picked his 100^th point for Sochi. He also extended his goal-scoring streak to fifth game:

At the second period there was only one penalty from Sibir side. With two minutes left to play in the game, Ivan Mishchenko finally opened his goal account for our team:

In the end, Igor Rudenkov sent an empty-netter to help us to get a first win and shutout of the season:

Our GM Andrei Zyuzin today celebrated his birthday, so it was a nice gift for him.

Sochi will continue home series on January 23 against Lokomotiv.
