The Leopards fought well against one of the top teams of the West.

With 00:20 to play in the third Daniil Miromanov fired from the middle-range to turn the game into overtime.The game was originally scheduled on October 30 however teams decided to move it on November 3. The Jokerit team needed to leave the quarantine. Goalie Joel Lassinantti and forward Daniil Apalkov returned to our lineup this night.

In the first period visitors had more possession however we got enough chances in powerplay. The puck got to the net only in the second. Rafael Batyrshin and Sergei Shmelyov created a 2-goal lead for our team. In the second we dominated on the ice.

Jokerit answered in the beginning of the third however in three minutes Nikita Tochitsky restored our 2-goal lead. Unfortunately then Jokerit scored three unanswered goals.

With 00:20 to play in the third Daniil Miromanov fired from the middle-range to turn the game into overtime.

Jokerit needed only 41 seconds to score a game-winning goal. Accidentally the puck went in from Miromanov’s stick.

Sochi will come back to action on November 10 in Balashikha against Avangard. It’s time to join the playoff race.
