Solid home win

Three unanswered goals helped the Leopards to get a shutout home win.

After the game against Spartak coaches decided to return Daniil Apalkov to the lineup, Marcus Nilsson watched the game from the stand. Goalie Maxim Tretyak again started the night between the pipes.

Teams started the game with attacks but played very accurately, both hockey clubs are fighting for playoff position. In the first we had a powerplay chance but the period ended with the zeros.

In the beginning of the first Malte Stromwall used a mistake from their defense to open the scoreboard.

It was a huge emotional boost for our troops. Then we had a double man advantage, Barys survived. Daniil Miromanov before the second intermission made it 2-0 from the breakaway.

Sochi didn’t push back in the third period. Maxim Tretyak played a solid game and earned his first KHL shutout. Miromanov with an empty-netter set the final score – 3-0!
