Another hard battle with CSKA

The Leopards suffered another huge loss against CSKA in the KHL.

Our goalie Joel Lassinantti backed in the net, Kirill Petkov also jumped on the ice after a time of absence. CSKA was very angry after a hard loss against Sibir in the last game of the regular season.

Sochi played quite well in the beginning, unfortunately Mat Robinson found the way to score in the 10^th minute of the game. Our coaches challenged it on the offside and we got a minor penalty for delaying the game. Sochi needed only 18 seconds to double their lead.

Our team didn’t give up, soon Sergei Shmelyov scored from the breakaway.

In the second CSKA forward Egor Afanasyev restored their 2-goal lead. In the end of the third CSKA gave us a chance to come back to life with a number of penalties. But later Maxim Shalunov with an empty-netter set the final score – 1-4.

In the last game of the home series the Leopards will host Dinamo Riga.
