Hard loss against Vityaz

The Leopards weren’t able to keep a lead against Vityaz.

Few weeks later we faced Vityaz on the road, we didn’t play well in the first period and lost 2-4. However, every game is another story.

After the game in St. Petersburg Ivan Kulbakov returned to the net, Vasily Glotov replaced Jere Karjalainen in the lineup.

In the first period, we had three penalties however our team created more in the offensive zone even in a penalty-killing situation. At the 7^th minute of the play Sergei Shmelyov scored his goal with assists from Nikita Tochitsky and Kirill Petkov.

We controlled the game in the first half of the second period. Then Vityaz got the momentum and found his game. With six minutes left to play in the game, Alexander Dergachyov deflected the puck Linus Hultstrom’s shot to make the game even.

At the beginning of the overtime, Kaspars Daugavins helped Vityaz to get a W.

Sochi will continue a home series on January 19 against Dinamo Minsk.
